About Bag Collections


To qualify for your free service, $63 is to be paid in advance and within the first month of receiving your bag and frame. You must remain a customer for a minimum of four months to qualify.


If your bag does not require a service, please contact us by 3PM the day before your service date. Failure to notify us will result in either your bag being serviced or a $7 service fee charged to your account. This fee is charged as most of our costs have already been incurred by the time we reach your property. The service date can be found on your invoice or alternatively contact us.


If we cannot access your bag on your service day due to a dog, locked gate or other form of blocked access, a $7 service fee will be incurred. As stated above, most of our costs have already been incurred by the time we get to your property. Please contact us if there is a change of circumstances at your property that could prevent access.

Payments & Invoicing


Invoices are placed in your letter box on your service day. We appreciate it if these are paid within 14 days.


Accounts are expected to be no more than $42 or 2 months overdue. Overdue accounts will incur fees.


Extra bags and frames delivered not on your regular service day will be charged at $7. Please consider planning ahead and organise an extra bag and frame delivered on your service day.


Any requests for extra bags and services, please allow up to 3/5 days. Whilst we endeavor to get to your request ASAP, during busy periods, rain and hot weather, staff may be delayed.

About Waste Contents


Bags must be serviced every 2 months/8 weeks unless prior arrangement has been made. This is to prevent deterioration of our bags due to the North Qld weather.


Bags are for green waste only. This means plant matter (e.g. grass clippings, palm fronds, plant cuttings and weeds WITHOUT soil attached.)


This does not mean any mulch, raked up leaves containing dirt, pebbles, wood chip etc. NO bag is to contain household rubbish, dirt, sand, turf, cardboard, newspaper or catalogues. Bags containing these run the risk of not being serviced and/or incurring an additional service fee. If we find any prohibited items in your bag, we will remind you of the terms and conditions. Continued breaches may lead to your account being subject to our cancellation policy!


All green waste collected is mulched.

About Scheduled Servicing


Please do not overfill your bag. Overfilled bags create a hazard to our employees by being too heavy. Overfilled bags run the risk of not being serviced and/or incurring extra fees.


Collections are usually made on the same day every month but due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g. weather, public holidays) your service may be delayed.


Services will continue until cancellation has been made by you, the customer, via phone, text, email or in person giving at least 24 hours' notice. This includes paid in advanced customers.


Whilst all care is taken, Smiles Garden Bags are not responsible for any damages that may occur with use of our equipment. Bags and Frames remain the property of Smiles Garden Bags and you may be liable for any loss or damage. 


By signing up or otherwise using our service you are stating your agreeance with our terms and conditions.

Our Overdue Policy


Accounts considered to be overdue will be suspended and receive no further services until payment in full has been received. Failure to pay this overdue account by your service day will incur a $5 overdue fee. Consistently overdue and significantly overdue accounts will be subject to closure and/or our returns policy.

Our Returns Policy


We are happy to return to you, the same amount of waste that was removed from your property and not paid for. Accounts will only be subjected to this policy on a case-by-case basis and if they are consistently and significantly overdue.

Our Cancellation Policy


Whilst we make every attempt to resolve unpaid accounts or breaches of terms and conditions, if we receive no response or payment, we reserve the right to cancel an account. Our driver will remove the bag and frame and leave any contents. 


Smiles Garden Bags has the right to refuse service to anyone not willing to comply with our terms and conditions. By using our services, you are agreeing to abide by our terms and conditions.
